We know that no matter how hard we try we will never get the same results at home as when we go to a nail salon.Do you suffer every time you do the manicure at home because you know that in less than 24 hours the enamel is going to be peeling? You are not alone. Don’t worry, today I will share a series of tricks so our nail polish lasts for a lot longer. Take note!
1. Two days off
If you want your manicure to last longer at least two days without any color on your nails before making new nail art.
2. Properly disinfect the nail before enameling it
Impurities and product remains, such as moisturizers or oils, make the enamel does not stick well to the nail, so if you give them a cotton swab with alcohol they will be perfectly prepared to put the color.
3. Apple cider vinegar
It is a great alternative if you do not have alcohol or disinfectant at home. Soak cotton in apple cider vinegar, wipe it with nails and wait for it to dry. You will have removed the impurities from a stroke and left the nail ready to enamel it.
4. Strengthening base
When you apply the base before the color choose one that is strengthening. This product protects the nails and favors their growth, which also prolongs the duration of the enamel. The matte bases, which have a slightly rougher texture, also improve the adhesion.
5. Always more than one layer, but thin
It is necessary for us to keep them last longer by applying one more layer with nail polish in your acrylic nail kits. However, these layers have to be thin, avoiding to leave product batches. The more we apply, the longer it will take to dry, and the more likely we will have to ruin our enamel while sleeping or doing any activity, even though it has been several hours since we applied it.
6. Quick-coat top coat
Then apply a generous coat of fast drying top coat. This will help to avoid spoiling our manicure within minutes because we are not patient enough to resume our normal activity.
7. Two days later, a new layer
Two days after you have painted your nails, apply a new coat of a clear top coat with your cheap art kits to revive the color intensity and improve its duration.
8. Wear gloves to clean
As much as we like the idea of carrying a contemplative life to always look perfect nails, the fact is that most of us have to return to their routine after doing the manicure, and that involves scrubbing, cleaning and other household chores. If you want your enamel to last much longer, always use gloves on tasks that involve the use of chemicals, to prevent them from coming into contact with your nails.
