Causes and Treatment of Snoring Problems

Snorers have at least one of the following problems:

- Low muscle tone in the muscles of the throat or tongue. Some loose muscles produce the tongue to fall back and the throat muscles collapse airways. This occurs when the muscle tone of the person is very relaxed by alcohol, drugs or drugs that cause drowsiness. But also it occurs in some people when they are relaxed in phases of deep sleep.

- Excessive development of the tissues of the throat. Large tonsils or adenoids developed excessively, for example, are the cause of snoring in children. Obese people also experience an increase in the size of these tissues. Similarly, although less frequent, cysts or tumors can also be factors that cause snoring without anti-snoring stopper.

- Excessive length of the soft palate and uvula. A large palate can become narrow passage between the nose and throat. As the soft palate hanging over the entrance of the airways, acts as a flow valve as relaxed breathing occurs contributes to the noise level of snoring. An equally large uvula aggravates the issue.

- Obstruction of the nasal airway. When a nasal obstruction or blockage suffering is necessary to make an effort to inhale air through the nose. This creates an exaggerated vacuum in the throat that becomes a collapse of part of the airways and soft tissue pushes into the throat. Therefore in viral infections of the nose snoring can occur in people who are not habitually snorers. This also explains the reason why certain people only snore during spring (pollen allergy). Similarly, the deformations of the nasal septum are a common cause of obstruction to airflow and can cause nocturnal snoring without nose clips for snoring.

As general treatments are recommended as personal care:

- Avoid sedentary life and perform daily exercises.
- Avoid the use of tranquilizers and antihistamines before bedtime.
- Do not drink alcohol before bed.
- Do not make big dinner before bed.
- Avoid excessive fatigue.
- Preferably better than sleeping on your back side.
- Place the inclined bed, lifting the head.

- Ensure that the people in your family to sleep earlier.
