A new study by Chinese
scientists from the Medical College of Qingdao University showed that higher
heart rate is associated with an increased risk of death from all causes, even
for those people who do not suffer from heart disease. According to experts,
the relationship of heart rate with risk of death from all causes and
cardiovascular mortality does not depend on the traditional risk factors for
cardiovascular diseases, so heart rate can be a predictor of mortality in the general
population.
Aside
from being the predictor, the heart rate could also be monitored as a
precaution with fingertip
pulse oximeter. Scientists have proven how
important it is to monitor the frequency of contractions of the heart muscles,
if there is a tachycardia fibrillation. Such a strategy in the treatment is not
less effective, than maintaining sinus rhythm.
But
there's a little complexity. Has not yet been identified, the optimal value of
the heart muscle contractions, when there is an atrial tachycardia. But it
still does not reject the value in tracking heart rate. At rest it should be
equal to from 60 to 80 beats per minute. If you perform some simple physical
work, the frequency increases from 90 to 115 beats per minute.
If
you follow what this rate was to be observed by the OLED
pulse fingertip oximeter,
it will be possible to improve both the quality and the ability to carry the
physical load. And this, in turn, will help to avoid heart failure. This means
that the survival rate after heart attacks will increase.
